Is Beaches St. Lucia the newest addition to the Beaches Resorts family? It’s very possible that St. Lucia could be the next location for the all-inclusive family resort.
If you are a part of the Beaches Resorts rumor mill, you know that there have long been reports of the all-inclusive resort chain expanding their family brand to other islands. Most recently, there were discussions about turning the newly-named Sandals South Coast into a Beaches concept. This resort would be complete with horse stables, “glamping”, and a air strip to get customers to this remote part of Jamaica.
Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia
Currently, St. Lucia hosts 3 of the sister-brand, Sandals Resort’s, gorgeous all-inclusive hotels: Sandals Grande St. Lucian, Sandals La Toc, and Sandals Halcyon Beach. Gordon “Butch” Stewart has been investing heavily in St. Lucia. Most recently, his addition of the Over Water Bungalows in St. Lucia and the beautiful over-water chapel at Sandals Grande St. Lucian.
So, it would not be surprising for the Sandals and Beaches Resorts family to launch a family concept in one of their most popular islands.
The History of Beaches Resorts
The Beaches Resorts all-inclusive family resort concept launched in 1997 with Beaches Negril, located in the home country of Founder and Chairman, Butch Stewart. Shortly after, in 1997, the second Beaches Resort opened in the gorgeous island of Turks and Caicos. In 2002, the second Jamaican resort opened with Beaches Ocho Rios. Fun fact: Beaches Ocho Rios used to be a part of the Playboy vacation concept!
Beaches St. Lucia
There are 16 Sandals Resorts and only 3 Beaches Resorts! Clearly, there is room for another family all-inclusive concept in the Caribbean. Beaches Resorts could really use this concept in St. Lucia!
